Dear
Parishioners,
I
pray God is blessing you with good health, safe travel,
and quality time with your fAMilies and friends during
these summer months.
Remember to thank God for the many blessings He bestows
in the opportunities you have to enjoy life.
Whether you are at one of our local beaches or traveling
to other beautiful places in our state or across the country,
may you recognize God's love in every experience.
My
purpose for writing to you at this time is to encourage
you to become more involved in the
Faith Formation/DeveloPMent activities of our parish fAMily
here at St. Mark.
For those of you who might not be aware, or for those
who have not yet participated, we have an inter-generational
progrAM called Generations
of Faith.
This progrAM is open to everyone in our parish - singles,
couples and fAMilies of all ages.
It is a marvelous opportunity for us to come together
to learn more about our Catholic faith, to remind us of
important principles of our faith,
to share with one another the reasons we are Catholic,
and to spend social/fellowship time with other
members of our parish community outside of the celebration
of the Mass.
FAMilies
with school age children are especially encouraged to
participate in this progrAM.
The Diocese mandates that all students preparing for the
reception of first time sacrAMents are to be enrolled
in an approved progrAM of instruction.
Generations of Faith is that approved progrAM
in our parish, therefore it is imperative that those of
you with children scheduled to make
First Communion next May should be sure to register for
this progrAM as soon as possible.
If your children have already received First Communion,
I hope you realize how important it is that you fulfill
your duty as parents to
continue to pursue a proper education in our faith for
your children of all ages, preparing them for their life
long Faith Journey as Catholic Christians.
In
implementing this progrAM in our parish, we hope that
Faith Formation becomes a life-long process
for all members of your fAMily - our fAMily - our church.
There is no graduation from Faith Formation. We continue
to learn as long as we live -
and as long as we seek the truth about God and His plan
for our lives. That is why Generations
of Faith is an inter-generational progrAM
and why we encourage our single and married adults to
participate with us. We all have much to share - we all
have much to learn.
Contact
the Faith DeveloPMent Office to find out more about Generations
of Faith,
more about how you can become a participant and/or volunteer. You

I truly believe your involvement in this progrAM can be
a wonderful blessing in your life.
Wishing
you God's Peace,
Anne Doyle |
