WHY IS ST. MARK PARISH INVESTING IN ACCESS AND REQUESTING MY PARTICIPATION?
In this age of technology, there are so many ways for us to communicate with each other.  St. Mark parish is putting this tool in your hands to improve your connection to the parish and each other. Better connections will benefit you and the parish in many ways.  You might already use automated systems for paying bills on line, downloading music, streaming movies or TV programs, making online purchases and numerous other electronic transactions.  Why not get ‘connected’ to your parish? 

• ACCESS St. MARK will allow our members to view and change their own (and their family members’) profile information within our database.  Parishioners will be able to look at the parish calendar for any given day and see what events, classes or group meetings are taking place.  They will be able to view the groups to which they already belong and find information about other groups they might be interested in joining.  Information about our ministries and contact information for ministry/group leaders will be available to anyone who has access to the internet and has a current email address listed in the St. Mark database.  Everything you want to know about St. Mark, or the path to find it, will be just a few simple clicks away.
• Our Pastor and Lay Leaders will be able to notify everyone about upcoming special events and speakers, as well as new enrichment opportunities as they arise.  You will be able to reserve a spot for yourself, as well as family members, and even guests, when something of interest to you becomes available.
• Your participation in ACCESS ST. MARK will not only benefit you, but it will benefit the entire parish as we are able to reduce the amount of paper and time used to track and record membership information, as well as reduce the cost for mailings.  You will help us be better stewards of your offertory gifts to the church.

IS ACCESS ST. MARK SECURE?
Yes. The confidentiality of your data is our main priority. ACCESS ST. MARK is a secure site that is supported by ACS Technologies. They are the largest developer of church management software in the industry.  To ensure your data is 100% secure and protected, they utilize the most up-to-date security technology available.

WHO CAN USE THE ACCESS ST. MARK SITE?
All users must have a valid email address and a password to access the site.  Different types of users, such as parishioners, staff, leaders, and guests, are each assigned different security “rights” to view or update information, as appropriate to their position and responsibilities in the parish.   For example, “guests” can ONLY view and sign up for upcoming public events, while St. Mark Staff and Administrators can view ALL information.  

CAN MY CONTACT INFORMATION BE SEEN BY OTHER PARISHIONERS?
Currently, St. Mark Church is not putting the church directory (address, phone number, family photo, and email address) online for parishioners.  Parishioners will be able to see contact information only for members of the groups that they belong to, and only if members have not requested their information to be unpublished.  Once you have signed in, you may go to your personal profile page within ACCESS ST. MARK and change your contact information and privacy options if desired.

WHAT IF I LOSE MY PASSWORD?
You will always be recognized by your email address.   You can click ‘Forgot my Password’ in the Login box to have ACS Technologies send you a temporary password or you can send an email to the ACCESS ST. MARK System Administrator Cathie Welch and request a password change.  Administrators cannot see user passwords. They can only reset passwords. Once a password is reset, your new password will be emailed to you. Once sign back into ACCESS ST. MARK, you will need to change your password.

CAN I RESET MY PASSWORD?
Yes. Go to the “Account Settings” tab on the “My Account” page within ACCESS ST. MARK and select “Change My Password.” Your new password will take effect immediately.

CAN I BOOKMARK THE ACCESS ST. MARK WEBPAGE SO I DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE CHURCH WEBSITE?
Yes. Click here for the ACCESS ST. MARK Login Screen. Please feel free to save the ACCESS ST. MARK page to your favorites list in your web browser for easy access.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Choose “My Profile” from the “Home” menu and select the “Personal Information” tab in ACCESS ST. MARK. Click on the “Pencil Icon,” or choose “Edit” in the upper right hand corner. After you update your record, then click “Submit.” This action will submit a change request to St. Mark’s System Administrator, and once it is verified, your record will be updated.  These updates are normally approved within two business days.
